Good Morning Room 22
I hope you are all set and ready for todays learning challenge. We are going to make our own boats! On the distance learning slideshow, on the science page there is a challenge to make your own boat using things from around your home. Then you can test to see if it can float in water.
I can't wait to see your boats! Don't forget to give it a name!
I hope some of you read through the comments on our blog posts and reply to the teachers and learning assistants who have said some really positive comments about our work.
Have a lovely day.

The Google Meets seem to be going really well. The children are definitely getting more confident every time they come. Some of my class have made boats too. It is very exciting to test them to see if they float.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
From Mrs Burge
Hi Miss Stuhlmann
ReplyDeleteYes, I have seen some wonderful boats on the blogs that children have created from all kinds of materials. Year 1 children also did an experiment to see what objects float and sink. I hope you boats float successfully. If not, it doesn't matter. We learn from mistakes and you can Problem Solve and have another go. Did you know that a boat is referred to as a female, so they usually have Girl names.
Good Luck with your learning Room 22, Mrs Smaill
MÅrena Miss Stuhlmann, I am looking forward to seeing the boats that the children in Room 22 make! I hope you have a great day!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Miss Stuhlmann and Room 22. I hope you have fun creating your boats today. I wonder how many will float and how many will sink. I look forward to looking on your blog next week and seeing some photos posted of your creations. Have a happy Friday and WONDERFUL weekend!!
