Good Morning Room 22

I hope you are all having a wonderful Monday morning!

Today we start our brand new Distance Learning slideshow filled with awesome activities for you to do at home. The slideshow is on our class blog in the Learning At Home page.

I can't wait to see which activites that you choose to explore. Don't forget to share your learning with me so I can share it with the whole class on our blog.

Learning About Measurement

Hi Room 22 Whanau

This week we explored standard and non-standard forms of measurement. We talked about metres (m), centimetres (cm) and milimetres (mm) and how these will always be the same. To explore non-standard measurement we made paper chains. We talked about how each of our chains were different sizes but could still be used to measure items around the class.

It was so much fun!

Happy Friday Morning Room 22

We have our very last Google Meet today at 2:00pm. You will get to see what the classroom looks like before you come into school on Monday because I will be in our classroom for the meeting. 

I hope you are all very excited to come back to school, I know I am! I can't wait to see all of your beautiful faces and give you air high 5s. 

Today there is no challenge. You can pick one of the learning activities that you want to do and then share it with me. You could even bring it with you on Monday to share with the class!

Distance Learning 14th May 2020

Good Morning Room 22

We are getting closer and closer to go back to school. I hope you are all excited! I will be going into school on Friday to make sure our class is all ready for us when we all come in on Monday.

When we come back to school you will all have your own desk and chair to sit at and your own place to put your school bag. You will also need to have a clean tin or pencil case to put some pencils in that only you will be using.

Today I have not set a learning challenge. I want you to blow me away with whatever learning activity you choose to do. I can't wait to see what it is that you have chosen.

Today your learning challenge is to read all about STARS! We are going to go onto the Scholastic Learn From Home website, select grades 1-2, click on week 2 and select day 8.

I hope you all had wonderful weekends and did something extra special for your mummies on Mothers Day.

Today we start our BRAND NEW distance learning slide show for week 5 and 6. Have a look through all the activities and see which ones you would love to do. Pick one for yourself to do today and then share with me pictures or videos of what you did.
