Bike Track Fun

On Thursday we were very excited to get outside and onto the bike track!

It was so much fun. Some of us were very fast and some of us were very brave. We all challenged ourselves to be amazing riders.

Our First Assmembly

We had our very first Koru Whanau assembly this morning and it was amazing!

We got to see a poi dance from Room 21 that was beautiful and we got to see Room 9a's Humpty Dumpty art. It was so cool!

The thing we loved the most was dancing to the song Baby Shark.

Congratulations to Maximus and Emme for working really hard this week and last week to win certificates. We are so proud of you!

Meeting Our Buddies!

This morning we were so excited to meet our buddy class. Our buddy class is Room 2!

Before they came to visit, we planned lots of questions that we could ask them so that we could get to know them better like:

 - Are you excited for camp?
 - What's your favourite colour?
 - What's your favourite food?
 - How old are you?
 - What do you like doing and why do you like doing it?

Then when our buddy class came, we talked and had a colouring in competition. It was so much fun!

We can't wait to see our buddies again.

Our Class Treaty

Today Room 22 talked about how we would like our class to run. We watched the story The Rainbow Fish and then read the story The Tree Hut Treaty.

We decided that in Room 22 we would promise to always:
- Be Kind
- Sit nicely on the mat
- Make sure our room is tidy
- Listen when a teacher is talking
- Make our teacher happy
- Make new friends
- Share
- Let others join in
- Make each other happy
- Use gentle hands
- SMILE!

We are making our own Rainbow Fish to help us remember our promises.

Our First Day

Today was our first day back at school! We had lots of fun. We got to know each other, we got to go swimming, we met all of the Koru Whanau teachers.

We hope tomorrow is another fun day.
