I hope you are all having a wonderful Monday morning!

Today we start our brand new Distance Learning slideshow filled with awesome activities for you to do at home. The slideshow is on our class blog in the Learning At Home page.

I can't wait to see which activites that you choose to explore. Don't forget to share your learning with me so I can share it with the whole class on our blog.

Neverland Studios and Buddies

Wow what a week we have had! So full of exciting activities and fun learning experiences.

We were so lucky on Monday to have had Giselle from Neverland Studios come and teach us a small hip hop dance. It was so much fun to practise and then perform to each other.

Here is a video of our dance. Aren't we great!

On Friday we were extremely excited to see our buddies again. Our big year six buddies from Room 2 came to our class and we had a colouring in competition!

Hi Room 22 Students and Families

A huge congratulations to all of Room 22 students, especially Robyn, William and Jerry, who have worked extra hard to use their GEMS this term. They have been challenging themselves and their learning and so received certificates at our Koru Whanau assembly on Friday.

Good Morning Room 22

It has been wonderful seeing some of your beautiful faces on our Google Meets and hearing all about your news. You have all had exciting things to share and have done a great job asking and answering questions of each other.

Today I challenge you to be CURIOUS. Let's use our growth GEM and find out how many steps it takes to walk around our houses. I wonder how many steps it will take me to walk around my house? When I find out, I will put the answer in the comments below.




Don't forget to keep sending me pictures and videos of your learning. It is amazing to see you all be creative and do different things to keep your brain and your GEMS growing.

School Holidays Week 1

Hi lovely students of Room 22!

How is your first week of the school holidays going? I am sure that you are all using your Sunnyhills GEMS at home and are being helpful, curious, creative and kind!

Did you know that Ms Driver posts a challenge for you to do on the Sunnyhills Facebook page everyday? And that you can share pictures of what you have created? AND every afternoon there is a story recorded by one of the Sunnyhills teachers or even Ms Driver! Isn't that so cool! I hope you listen to my story when it comes up :)

Earth and Beyond

Today we got thinking about our inquiry topic 'Earth and Beyond'. We talked about what was beyond/far away from Earth and landed on Space.

We shared some of the things we already know about Space.


Then we watch a video that had LOTS of information about the Sun and Space.

After the video, we came up with questions that we would like to find the answers to.


We are such a curious class!
